family and being a nomad!
Its been over a year since i last flew to Egypt. I left Cairo last time (Jan 17th 2004) and i am home sick! I just realized that in 2005 i will probably spend just 11 days in Egypt! Well i tried to explain that to my parents and i really felt like shit doing so. Partly cause i miss them and i miss Egypt but mainly cuz i know i am the only child and i live a couple of continents and an ocean away and how hard is it for them me being away! The last couple of days were emotionally and physically challenging in terms of prioritizing my family and aiesec commitments. Mom and Dad took the news pretty badly, but it took almost 6 hours of overseas phone calls to settle it. I am so glad its settled! At the end of the 3rd phone call we decided that i should look for a ticket that leaves for Cairo on Friday (yes in 48 hours Friday) for 10 days. I called my travel agent but i cant find moderately priced flights for the dates/times i am looking for. But at least i got my flight on May 15th confirmed! 11 days in beautiful Cairo! Chef! PS: This was once again a very unstructured venting entry! I MISS EGYPT, CAIRO, FRIENDS and FAMILY!!
